About Kyran

Kyran Siddiqui is a first-generation Indian-American engineer, activist, and entrepreneur with a focus on robotics, biotechnologies, and improving youth STEM education. He is currently an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At the age of 16, Siddiqui provided testimony supporting HR0564 in the 102nd Illinois Assembly and met with Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker to establish March 10th, 2023, as “STEM Education Day.” He has also been an avid leader of a political action effort to promote H. Res 259 in the US Congress.

In 2021, he led a mobile app development team to assist small businesses struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Collaborate for Change” app won the Congressional App Challenge in the 14th Illinois Congressional District. In 2022, he was one of 10 students globally to receive the FIRST Robotics Dean’s List Award for his contributions in robotics and positive local community impact.

With work spanning various engineering initiatives, Siddiqui previously served on the National FIRST Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee, making a significant impact on students nationwide.
